Just wondering what the point of this meme is. Because it wasn't a protest. It was the beginning of the LA riots that happened as a response to the acquittal of the cops who beat Rodney King. And he actually got saved by two African-American brothers who saw what was happening on the news and went down the street from their house to the intersection where he was being attacked, jumped in his rig and drove him out of harm's way.

Not in the usual sense. It wasn't organized and no one was holding any signs. It didnt happen because people wanted to change anyone's point of view. It was more of like an expression of anger for some but a lot of it ended up being a free for all with the looting.

Were you even born yet when it happened? I lived in LA and saw the entire thing unfold. Like I said it wasn't a typical peaceful protest with people carrying signs. It was a riot from the moment the officers were acquitted.

Judging from your comment - you thought I was 20 years younger than I am. I experienced it as an adult. I was cheering for the Korean business owners who were shooting protesters. We couldn't go shopping during that whole ordeal because so many stores were being looted.

Yeah, I lived and worked in Las Vegas at the time - where there were also protests and the police implemented a curfew. Nothing quite like watching cops drive around with shotguns hanging out of their windows.

In case you haven't experienced Las Vegas Metro police - they don't care what color you are, because at the coroners inquest after a police shooting - the coroner isn't allowed to ask the police any questions.

Yeah I lived in Vegas for a long time too. They shoot first and ask questions later there :(
