I saw an part of an interview of George Lucas about selling Star Wars. He said he couldn't take the constant bitching and upset fans if he did the story this way, or that way. He felt (rightly so in my opinion) that he couldn't go and shoot HIS. film the way HE wanted to without the constant criticism of critics and/or fans! It wasn't fun anymore, I can understand that even if that meant selling your baby! It's not your baby if you can "raise" or "shoot" your movie the way you see fit! It's no longer fun or yours at that point. Now I may have oversimplified the whole issue here, but that's enough for me to sell the franchise! :) Oh, thanks! :)

Yeah I saw a quote something along those lines too and it made me feel pretty bad for him. And it is a pretty sad situation that movies which we loved growing up have now become just a commercial sell-out in Disney's hands. But still the meme is funny.

The Charlie Rose interview? I loved how Lucas called Disney out in it.

And I feel bad for him too. I always liked the SE and PT. I defend Lucas to this day.
