TFA is an obvious clone of A New Hope to anyone who's seen that film. But if you've read the Legacy of the Force novels, you also know that the plot of Han and Leia's son going darkside and joining the opposing military is all from there.

There's other obvious rip offs that Disney is guilty of. Creative freedom to them means plagiarism disguised as originality. :{

I don't really know who those guys are (Snake and Smoke), but I didn't like Snoke much.

Snoke is a poor man's Palpatine.

Disney was like "I got nothing" and figured formulaic was the best approach.

It's also bad that you can hear the Gollum in Snoke's voice, and even see a physical similarity between the two.

It's like the whole film is just f**king winking at something and going "Eh? Eh? You like it?" And I look down and whisper "no...". :{

One of the things I didn't like about the film is that none of it actually made sense. Like nobody had real reasons to be doing the things they were doing. It was just going from one scene to the other, but I didn't really believe any of the characters wanted anything or had any believable goals (except maybe Leia and Han). Some of the scenes were well-executed, but without characters with meaningful motives they're just hollow.

And yeah, Snoke was lame. The fact that they tried to make him look "bigger" seemed like just compensating for the fact that he wasn't scary or have any sinister presence, like Emperor Palpatine.

I saw a report on I think thelightersideoftheforce site about a month ago saying that Hayden was getting in to shape to be in VIII. I don't know if there is any intention of including an appearance of a force ghost other then voices like in TFA, but if they end up having them and not include Hayden it'd be bullshit.

The idea of build-a -figure is cool, but the spring loaded missile firing accessories they always make are so lame.

I'd rather a cheaper figure than those spring loaded missile launchers.

If Star wars kept doing the Build-a-Droid thing, that would be better.

I noticed the change in the figures too. And that's actually when I stopped buying them. I've thought about getting some of the 3.75" Black series since, but the price is too high for me. It's cheaper for me to customize them from cheaper figures or older Star wars figures. And that's sad Hasbro. Not that they'd ever see this.

That's awesome about the Comic Shops. I'd like to get some custom Star wars figures, but I'd like to them make some vehicles or dioramas/playsets. Like the Falcon's main hold. That would only be a foot by foot square. The Ghost's common room. (I mentioned that here already that I'm slowly building those out of scrap cardboard.) Hasbro should already be doing these too. :{

BAD was the appropriately named Legacy collection back in 2009. They were doing a whole bunch of EU stuff.

Disney has at their parks BAD sections in a store but the astromech you build is $10. And the parts are basically R2, but they have another body, and 8 different domes(including the standard R2 dome). But you also get a hat that's a choice between things like mouse ears, yoda ears, santa hat, cowboy hat, etc. I hate this because I have one of each up to an R7, but Disney made the R8 and R9 domes for theirs and I'd have to go to the park or ebay to get them. And still, $10 is too much for a toy of an astromech.

I don't have anything finished yet on the Ghost, Falcon, or Outrider interiors. I have to go slow on Ghost since there are parts of the ship that haven't been seen yet like the cargo holds, the engine room, or escape pods(if they have those).

On the Falcon, I have the main cargo hold's floor, the lower half of the couch, and the computer Han sits at. They are only drawn on in pencil at this point. I've got a bunch of great reference material and captures from the dvds of the interiors of the Falcon for this and it's going to take up a small room if it's all put together at once. I plan to just use the main hold and cockpit as a display piece.

The Outrider has nothing in cardboard yet, but I have tons of reference materials. I got captures of the interior from the N64 game and even the d20 interiors from Insider and Gamer.

I''m also doing Bossk's Corellian YV-666 freighter the Hound's Tooth. I'll have his Nashtah Pup fighter in it too. So far for it I just have a lot of the scrap pieces for it and reference materials.

I have the floors to the Ghost's common room, the galley, the cockpit, and the hall between the cockpit and common room. They all have the penciling and the common room has the cabinet Ezra hid in, the galley has the counter, and the common room has the entrance door, the galley door, and the ceiling with the ladder going up to the Phantom.

I didn't buy the Phantom, so I'm going to do that in cardboard too. And again, the Ghost is going to take up a small room if all put together. So I plan to display the cockpit through the hall and the common room/galley on a long shelf, but the exterior and the other decks will be stored until used for photography.

If I get through these, get a good work flow going on them, I'm going to other CEC(Corellian) Freighters. :{

Yeah I've played EAW, Galaxies, Force Unleashed 1 and 2, Jedi Knight 2, and all the Battlefronts. BF 2 was awesome. The new one has some pretty massive maps and really fun gametypes like walker assault.

I remember having the Teras Kasi demo disc on playstation when I first got it. I played that demo for hours.

I didn't know anyone still played Galaxies, that's cool. I only played it for a couple months so I didn't get too far.

Tyber Zahn in the second Empire At war was a great character. Like being Dash Rendar and Xizor at the same time.

Starkiller's story is so good, you can just watch the cutscenes and it's a film 10 times better than TFA.

Battlefront 2 was me and my friends favorite thing to do. we loved playing the campaign.

Oh I forgot Republic Commando! That was an awesome FPS in general let alone a Star wars game. The way the HUD showed up onscreen. Like Halo meets Star wars meets Rainbow Six.

I haven't gotten an Xbox One yet so I haven't played BF3. I love the graphics from what I've seen of gameplay. I heard they don't have space battles though, and if not, they need to do some DLC for that before I buy it.

Can you fight Kylo in it? If I got to use a jedi during the battle and Kylo was on their team, I'd want to be Luke so I could f**k him up!

Teras Kasi was hard for me at first, but after a few days of play, I got into it. I always remembers the Tusken Raider Hoar. lol Dat name though. And Arden Lyn was neat. A chick with a robot arm. Can it give good handjobs without ripping my dick off?

Check out SwGEmu or Bloodfin. If you still have the discs or get new ones, you can play on a free server. They're still working out some kinks and they use the original gameplay, but it's great to wander around Corellia and Tatooine and hunt animals ride landspeeders. Sort of like GTA meets Star wars. It's the closest thing to that perfect game I described before. I'm low level, so don't feel bad. i mainly just run around and kill creatures and sight see. Until they get the space stuff working well, I'll probably stay low level. I always loved the ships. The way you get to walk around a freighter's interior, the way the starfighters with droid sockets show your astromech, the game always was what I wanted out of a Star wars game. :{

Oh, and Bounty Hunter with Jango Fett which took place before AOTC. Awesome game.

Nah it was like 05 when I had Galaxies, I think it was in some of my shit that got stolen from storage about 8 years ago. I might buy it again if I can find a copy.

Actually, Battlefront 3 has no content from TFA other than a Jakku map believe it or not so no Kylo lol. And none is scheduled for the last 2 expansions. It's all OT only. It pisses me off that there isn't any prequel maps or characters. There aren't space battles, but there's low atmosphere maps for ship battles. It's actually really fun. It's a 40 person game type so it get's pretty intense. You can also get ships on the standard team battle mode as a power up and do sweeps through the map shooting people.

Oh yeah Republic Commando was the shit. I also forgot about the Rogue Squadron series, KOTOR 1, didn't play 2 because I heard it sucked, and Clone Wars was a fun game. Force Unleashed was pretty intense, both the gameplay and the story. I thought it was pretty dark.

Yep, that's a Funko Daenerys on the throne. She sits on it pretty well besides for the bottom part of her dress sticking up because it's vinyl but no biggie. The throne is by Dark Horse, I think it was like 50 bucks.

In the 90's I was collecting the POTF2 Star wars figures and they started at like $3 per figure and the Falcon was like $60.

Then after TPM the figures were like $5 and the larger vehicles like $75.

Mid 2000's after ROTS, the figs were $8 and the BMF ship, the At-At, the At-Te, and the other larger ships were $120 each. Unless you were lucky and got them on sale.

I can understand that the price of oil(which determines plastic prices) went up($100 a barrel and over) after 9/11, but it's been down for years. It's like $40 a barrel now. Supply and demand is great, but this is ridiculous. The price should go back down now while the oil is down.

Children don't get much in allowances and the parents really don't have that kind of money to waste on toys. Hasbro should take the initiative and try to get their prices back down to at least 2008 standards. And ESPECIALLY since they made the move back to 5POA.

I started collecting with the POTF and 2 lines, brings back good memories. I used to cut out the character profile on the back of the card or the hologram pictures on the front and glue them to pages in a little notebook.

Gas is only 2 bucks a gallon where I'm at so I'm sure Hasbro is making huge profits now that oil is down and their prices are still reflecting the oil increase of the past few years. The plastic used in making the figures is petroleum/crude oil based. So as it rises in price, so does the cost of the plastic. Not to mention transportation.

They've only left the price as high because they're used to getting that much for them and other newer companies get greedy and try to make that much too.

we either need a new company that sells cheaper or big companies will have to cut their prices themselves. It's not likely, but it is very possible/plausible.

And since they're meant for children, the price should definitely be brought back down to reasonable levels.

If they want to claim sculpting and painting are apart of the cost still, I just look at 3d modeling, scanning, and printing and laugh in their faces.

They have a machine that manufactures the figure's parts and usually an assembly line of people putting them together before another machine packages them. They could have all this in one machine by now, but that's how it has been done before.

But, with 3d tech, the price should really be falling. They can scan a person's face and 3d sculpt the body. The machine can apply paint apps. So labor is almost non-existent.

They're screwing us and the children when it comes to action figures. I mean, $10 for a 3.75" figure? And then taxes? I mean come on!. The vehicles too, way too high.

And I worked in retail seeing how much the retailer will mark up, sometimes enough to buy 3 more of the item they're selling. That's f**king bullshit man.

Yeah i mean tho much plastic they used to make it. They use that much more paint too. And someone probably sculpted that 12" pussy- I mean 12" Kylo Ren. XD

I know the cost for each completely new figure is based on the price of the molds made for the machines. But when they make two Kylo's and one has a helmet the other doesn't, I mean come on. Even if one is "battle damaged" they can still use the base mold, but have a piece inserted that does the damage. Then it's all paint apps.

The higher articulation seems to cause higher mold prices. That's partly because it may take multiple molds(eww, that sounded gross, thanks internet) to make a figure. But still, once you have that mold, you can use parts from it to kitbash other "new" figures. And that makes me more upset over the price increases.

Look at the 3.75" GI JOE line. They all have the same articulation, a bunch of weapons usually, and they tend to have great paint apps. BUT they kitbash a TON of those figures. Think about the boots. That foot is probably the same exact foot on each figure. New molds may not even need new feet for years.

And they did that with the higher articulated Star wars figures. So why do they keep getting greedy?

Maybe Disney is charging them to hold the license? which just adds to my nerd rage!

I've heard that some shops have 3-D printers for customers to make whatever figure they want like of themself or SW or anything and charge a fee to use it.

One thing that pisses me off about the TFA figures are the "accesories" that come with each figure. You have to buy like 3 different figures to complete the accessory that has nothing to do with anything from the film. And they're pretty intricate too so it can't be cheap. I don't know maybe I would think it's cool if I were a kid. I think it's dumb though.

The cool thing about some of the statues like Cloud City Fett and Vader is that they come with another set of arms. Here's the alternate Fett arm set. I was too lazy to switch it lol. Still static but at least you have the option to mix it up. Fett's is more dynamic, Vader has another arm that points.

I've seen leaked set pics and aliens from 8 and what I've seen so far is just terrible.

More over-accentuated facial features(they also look like the koopas form the Mario movie) and the landspeeders looked like giant electric shavers.

They also had a bunch of aliens wearing basically black butler outfits with white gloves. It just, doesn't look or feel like Star wars AT ALL.

They've already ruined the franchise. The only thing that will save Star wars at this point is Disney's bankruptcy.

I've heard the Snoke/Anakin rumors. I don't see that. I saw a guy on youtube talking about if Mace could've survived or not. I think he had a good point that while he could've survived the fall, but being hit with the full power of Palp's lightning at point blank range probably killed him. And he mentioned how it could weaken Anakin's turn. I'm sure if he wants to come back they'll write him in though.

I don't think Palpatine was that powerful then though. His lighting is easily deflected by Yoda and Mace is able to beat him in a saber duel.

Luke also survived Palpatine's lightning years after Palpatine had time to practice/level up.

If Mace lived, I don't see it weakening the turn of Anakin to the darkside. I see it as just another facet to the story.

In the Clone wars cartoon, Mace survived many long falls. He's basically a DBZ character in Star wars.

The only thing I hated about Mace was his lightsaber crystal's name. Hurrikaine. A f**king Katrina reference for Mace is lame.

In Darth Plaguis Palpatine grew his abilities to near max potential from what I could tell. I know Plaguis was weak when Palpatine killed him, but considering how powerful he was, it was still quite a feat. I considered Yoda's ability to deflect Palp's lightning moreso due to his power. I always thought Palps was just toying with Luke and trying to make him suffer until he said "you will die" and supposedly started using more powerful lightning. He did seem to get hit with "max power" lightning for a little longer time than Mace was and was able to survive before Vader stepped in, but that could be attributed to his midichlorian count and being 1/4 demi-god? I don't know. Palpatine was pretty arrogant by that point.

Palpatine can probably sense lifeforce though, and that would explain him knowing that Luke was going to die after some more shock and awe.

I think of Palpatine like Freiza in DBZ. Not the strongest, just the strongest the hero has encountered to that point.

If you watched the cgi Clone wars, the Mortis-something episode. That old man could take Palpatine, but probably has a rule about not getting involved. (I've only seen the ep once)

Palpatine was also weary of the Vong enough to preemptively hinder them from spreading too fast. He's not so powerful if he's scared of the Vong as a threat.

Yeah, Mace's lightsaber also has BMF on it from what he and Lucas say. I think that more than makes up for the Katrina reference inside it.

I don't think of Anakin as a demi-god. He just has a high midichlorian count. That's like power levels in DBZ.

The Force is probably a sentient supreme being though. I think of Anakin as a force prophet more than a force messiah. (I feel really guilty comparing star wars to my belief in God right now, but also when I use the word canon)

Anakin was gifted. Luke and Leia have that gift too. (Padme had a little bit of the gift if you know what I mean? *nudge *nudge)

Palpatine is someone who does too, but was "doing it wrong". I bet Anakin was slightly higher in MC's than Palpatine, and Palpatine in the EU had force detecting tech so he probably had it by then, plus the Jedi had their own ways. But either way, Palpatine somehow had Anakin's readouts and his own, compared and contrasted, and figured he had to keep a lid on Vader.

He probably engineered the fight with Obi in a way that he figured either they'd both die, or both be maimed. He was probably shutting down the heat shields in specific locations to weaken specific points of infrastructure. Cause you know he watched the fight? (this is my opinion not canon)

And Plageius's way of "living forever" could have been the force ghost technique. And it would mean Palpatine told the truth from a certain point of view when he says he killed him. That would explain why Palpatine comes back in Dark Empire.

And maybe Snoke is Palpatine? I can see Disney making Snoke's character a reveal of an older one instead of trying to make a completely new one.

I know there's more to the Mortis episodes than probably we know at this point. The Mortis story was 100% from GL from what I heard (as opposed to him just approving what the CW team showed him). Hopefully Disney keeps what GL intended to reveal about the force in VIII or IX.

I have a theory of conspiracy on Disney's part against Lucas for making the first Star wars.

They originated the hate for the special editions and prequels like they would do to any competition. Corporate espionage is a real, everyday thing. Disney is obviously all about the Benjamins.

They hate him because they ARE Hollywood, the system he fought. And he did what not many people can do.

Look at how Tarnatino gets criticized. He held no "degrees" when he made his first few films(not sure if he ever got one). Another outsider.

Disney engineered this like Palpatine. And in a way, I see Palpatine's Empire as a reference to the Disney Empire. The Hollywood system.

GL put a lot of symbolism into SW for sure. He's said he was trying to show people how fast a democracy can fall and what happens when you give up your rights for security. I often mention that in political debates.

I know I can't wait to see more of the Ghost's interior in season three. I've taken captures of all the interior/exterior shots of the Ghost to make a 1:18th scale(hasbro 3.75" figures) Ghost since Hasbro won't. I'm at least going to get the common room and galley made.

And also to find out the story behind the YT-2400(Dash Rendar's Outrider from SOTE is a 2400 too). I want to know if the Ghost has a ventral hatch since they show the 2400 clamped to the bottom of the Ghost.

I wish they'd put as much effort into the 3.75" figures as they are the newer 6" ones. It's like ever since Disney got a hold of it, the prices doubled and the articulation lessened on the 3.75" figures.

And I'm willing to buy a Rey Jakku, Rey Ending costume, and Kylo Ren(unmasked if they make it) from the 3.75" Black series. But I'm going to turn them into Tenel Ka, Jaina, and Jacen Solo respectively. I might get two of the Kylo's so I have one for Kyp Durron as well.

And I've seen guys take the 5POA Rebels figures and add articulation with stuff like revoltech joints. But I could always customize them form GI Joes and other Star wars figures.

The Ghost is something Hasbro needs to at least attempt making a playset out of.

I've already got wip cardboard pieces for the common room's deck, two walls, the cabinet Ezra get's locked in, the vent he breaks out of, the ladder leading to the belly entrance of the phantom, the deck for the galley, and the decks for the main hallway and the cockpit. All as close to scale as I could. Assembled the ship takes up too much room, but piece by piece or displayed on a shelf, it becomes easier to have all the interior.

But that's why I'm waiting for S03, more interior shots and reveals. Like the engine room and cargo holds. They've never shown the engine room or cargo holds.

And I can tell you that Hasbro could easily make cardboard/cardstock playsets like they did in the 70's and 80's for the Ghost's common room, the Millennium Falcon's main hold, and also the Outrider's hold just to have another freighter playset.

why hasbro is too stupid to do this is beyond me. They'd sell just like their cantina and jabba's palace sets did in the 90's.

For the Ghost, they could even make the Phantom land on top of the common room so kids could pretend the characters climb down the ladder.

Oh yeah, the quality of the 3.75" figures has taken a big step back from where they were during AOTC and ROTS up until recently. It's almost back to 90s type articulation. Hasbro needs to stop ripping people off and make better creative choices. Making a ghost and phantom seems like a no-brainer to me.

There's a 6" Disney line unmasked Kylo. I don't have it yet but I have Rey. Pretty solid figure, came with BB-8.

I kind of figured you'd get a Rey. It's your own personal Daisy Ridley, and pocket sized!. lol

I'm into 1:18th scale(3.75") and 1:6th scale(12") mainly Star wars and military.

I customize old Canadian Gi Joe bootlegs into zombies as well as any Barbies and other fashion dolls my female family gives me.

I like to scratchbuild/kitbash stuff for Star wars and zombie apocalypse displays.

I want to get the 3.75" Reys and Kylos for sure, and maybe a BB-8 to use as a "one of a kind" Astromech as Poe put it in the film.

And maybe some of the vehicles since the new X wings could be the NJO XJ-wings and stealth X-wings.

I saw the Phantom they made for Rebels and it's way underscale. I hope they either make a Ghost that uses that Phantom, or do a better version that even has Chop's droid socket from the 2nd season added. The Ghost in a BMF scale is totally doable.

Just look at the GI JOE Defiant space ship and USS Flagg playsets from the 80's. :{

The scout bomber is meant to be like the old mini rigs. A super-deformed version of a ship.

It's not meant to be a full size starfighter exactly. Although I think that ship is supposed to have hyperdrive seeing as it has a droid socket for astromechs.

I've been meaning to pick up one for myself but haven't gotten it yet. I like the design on it. I wish they'd make more ships with droid sockets too. It adds a lot to the ship's personality.

And I think it's something to do with Disney owning it instead of Lucas. Hasbro probably got greedy.

Kotobukiya is a great company. But I don't think I've seen their statues yet.
