Exactly...because nobody cares about reposts except the repost whiners...but it's hard to say you're not a repost whiner right after you cry repost on someone's meme. Some people are in denial I think...No worries tho', you guys are only hurting yourselves.

why do the submission guidelines say mods will try to disapprove obvious reposts? its because they have absolutely no place on a meme site
obscure reposts are ok, i even upvote them sometimes
but if its been posted five times, theres not really a need to dig up a dead meme and bring it back... instead of calling it reposting, i should call it necromeming...

My understanding of this issue is that when mods say "obvious reposts" they mean memes that have been at the top of the front page of a popular meme site in the last few days. It doesn't have to do with how many times it's been posted.

I personally have no problem with seeing jokes 5, 10, 15 or more times. If people do have a problem with it for whatever reason, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't just keep scrolling past it.
