Not necessarily. There is one particular user whose memes I comment on all the time and upvote because I agree with them or think they are funny. But we disagree on one issue and have debated it and I have shown that I am correct and he has shown he resorts to name calling and put downs. That does not stop me from upvoting his other stuff.

Thanks for that. I just try to be fair. If I like something I'll upvote or comment on it. I am not going to let one disagreement make me bias. "Oh, he doesn't believe in ( ) so I am going to downvote or make snide comments on everything he posts." I have also upvoted memes that I disagreed with because at least they were funny and I see where they were coming from.....but I do tend to comment on those in a way that makes me out to be contentious. I will upvote and appreciate the meme and then point out how it is wrong. :-)

EXACTLY. If I make a political meme or religious meme/comment I can and will defend it. All too often the person trying to disclaim it just resorts to name-calling and other insults. I love that because it just shows they have no viable argument.
