I'll be fine when a (non-political) jokes makes front page

I don't think there are more political memes on here than anything else. They are just what our audience wants to copy and use for their facebook or whatever. So more of them move towards the front than other memes right now. Not saying you should change your opinion you are entitled to it and I respect that. Just trying to explain why we see so many of them up front is all. That's why it's called the "hot" pages, political stuff is a hot topic right now. If something happens like the kid falling in the gorilla pit that will be the hot topic and any meme about it will do well usually.

I understand what you're saying don't get me wrong. There have been many times I've made memes I thought were funny only to have them get a small amount of views because the topic isn't popular at the moment. I just look at it like.. I get three submissions, so I try to use one to give the audience what they want most of the time and the others for what I think is funny. Giving the crowd what they want is one of the main purposes of comedy. Just like a stand up comedian, you try jokes out on the crowd until you figure out what works. Sometimes I make memes just for my friends on here, knowing they won't do great but that they will be liked by the people who share my sense of humor.
