I like the reference, but I'm afraid the idea is utterly flawed. You wanna stop something bad? Deal with its roots. Take away its nutrition. That doesn't just mean cutting off the supplies etc for one particular organization. It means getting rid of the foundations for the very nascence of such organizations: severe poverty & decadent wealth, war, apathy, rage, racism, ignorance, religion. (I'll get stick for that last one but it's an undeniable fact that religion divides people.) This is a f**king tough task, so any plan of action will take time and might at first even seem to be making things worse. But sometimes things have to get worse before they can get better. In the meantime we have to resist the temptation of this kind of emotive slogans and false truths. If it "feels right", it might be a good idea to take a step back and rationally dissect this "feeling", because odds are it's a prejudice. Our prejudices and core principles can be well-founded and therefore aren't automatically bad, but they need to be subjected to scrutiny. Not just by others, because that's very rarely going to change anything, but by ourselves. And we need to be prepared to adjust them if they turn out to be less true than we assumed. Anyway, that's enough of that. Here's a picture of a cat in an iron man helmet made out of lemon:
