Einstein's Wish

I'm german and it's Mathematik over here. Or Mathe for short (the th is basically just a t in german, btw).
No idea why you guys had to make it plural.

Did you have to use Einstein though, a guy who, as a german, would use math singular?

German or Jewish, he always said Mathematics never math. The reason is obvious, Einstein realised there were never several branches of Mathematic but there were and remain several branches of Mathematics. It's the Queens English, good spelling and common sense. Come on join the club and accept th eone true way :-D

And if you had to put all those branches under one umbrella term, what term would you choose?
