I've seen users indignantly protesting that their memes have been flagged, when to me it seems pretty obvious (to me at least) why they were flagged.

In fact this is the first meme I've seen in the other direction. Most people I've seen complain that the NSFW feature is overused, not underused.

I'm just saying, if something is overtly vulgar (and juvenile) on the front page ... that's what that category is for. It changes the whole tone of this place. And there are young people on here.

I think you're right that jokes don't have to be vulgar, to be funny. No harm in keeping it classy, when possible. I usually won't upvote bathroom humor or jokes about sex etc, unless there's something extra in them that's witty.

Oh I was just thinking about this meme. How you were frustrated with some of the NSFW ones sometimes rising to the top. And I thought maybe you had a principle of not downvoting memes that was adding to your frustration. I think downvoting memes can be very healthy for the mind and heart! :)
