I just bought my daughter a phone on her 14th birthday in Jan. shes already talking about a car, but ain't gonna happen for a few years. then it will just be to drive too school..

Yeah seems 14 is now the old 16 for wanting cars. Our 16 year old wants a car before his license. Ummm no!

I start driving young when I was growing up in farm country Kansas, but things were a lot slower, and not as crowded..And when I got a car as a kid I had to earn it myself... :) oh 14 year old girl, and trouble, I have a gun, shovel, and about 400 acres of woods around me lol

I started driving very young growing up on a farm. And I got a job and bought my first car. Are you my American version of me lol?

I grew up on a dairy farm but dad always had to have his horses and show them at fairs. I always thought he may have jumped the fence lol

We raised just about everything a family needed on the place, only thing that had to be bought was the the staples, salt sugar coffee things like that.. driving the tractors was how most learned driving whe n I was coming up.. miss those days too

Same. Yes sir, first job was to pull the hay wagon in low as the grown-ups loaded the hay. I don't remember the age but wayyyyyyyy before 14 lol

I remember picking corn up in the fields after harvest, back then the combined were not as efficient as today. was driving that ole 50 model chevy truck when I was 8 or 9 lol

I grew up in the country in Northern NY and worked on a farm driving trucks and tractors at 14. I haven't met many 14 year olds lately that i would trust driving a tractor. Lol

When I was Young we all wanted to drive, now at work it's like pulling teeth to get a young guy to drive, not all, but most!

Yes sir it is. By the time I was 18 everyone in my age group had one.
