Sorry, that's not what I meant. I just meant that our beliefs don't affect reality. What we believe isn't relevant. What's relevant is what's actually true.

Thor isn't really god. He doesn't carry a hammer. He doesn't exist. There's only one God in reality - that's the God who died on the cross.

Claiming to be an atheist doesn't grant you any special exemption from having your opinion and beliefs criticized.

But now that I know you're sensitive to that kind of thing, I'll try to remember to take it a little bit easier on you in the future. :)

I'd say that's true. I believe that people of every religion beleive that their religion grants them special exemption from their religion being criticized.... sometimes. The thing that pisses me off is when crazy, intensely religious people perceive everything as an attack on their religion (Westboro Baptist Church, smloko, etc.,). Oh, and when they tell me that I can't invent my own god(s) for my books...
