While she is good for him she is not my type at all. She is nice and all, but once a girl has been with one of my friends I can't even think about being with them. Plus she's a bit too into partying and I outgrew all that when my daughter was born, for the most part at least.

I had one girl one say to me the morning after, "this is embarassing, but what was your name again?", I chuckled and said Bob. My name is not Bob. I figured that was a small victory for men everywhere, but that was 20 yrs ago, now it's more like "who the f**k are you, how did you get in here?". Ha ha ha

I've luckily never woke up with a stranger lol. For some reason if I got that drunk in my youth, all I wanted was taco bell and to sleep. Alcohol doesn't make me blindly horny, not sure why my chemistry is different than most other people on the planet. But I've always been more into mental attraction than physical and you aren't getting to know anybody that way while drunk. It's always bugged my friends who think I'm weird for not taking some drunken stranger home when I had the chance. But that's just how I am and I can't change what I find attractive in a female. I guess it has saved me from some bad mornings, but I'm sure I missed out on some wild nights as well :/

That's all good bro! I was a working musician living the rock and roll lifestyle. It was no great shakes either. I kinda missed out on a couple real relationships over the years. I've certainly changed over the years, and missed sober sex. Sure there were good times but also awkwardly bad times too, I regret nothing, it made me the person I am today, and have alot more respect for women and myself. Working artist now, less hangover days and better money. Besides you didn't miss out on anything, cuz you wouldn't have remembered most of it anyways. Ha ha ha. Enjoy life.

I've always well.. I'd say old fashioned but even back then drunken sex happened the same as it does now. I don't really regret it, I've had my share of women and it's not like it kept me from playing the field. If anything there were more times even sober where I wanted more from the relationship than the girl did based on poor decisions on my part. You don't have to be drunk to misjudge somebodies intentions. All we can do is learn from those mistakes and use that knowledge to keep from making them again. It has made me very jaded and unwilling to stay with a woman who doesn't see things like I do. But that's still better than situations like my marriage that I stayed in much too long even though she made me miserable. Eventually we all learn exactly what it is that makes us happy. It's just deciding not to settle for anything less that is the hard part ;)

Yeah. There were a couple that never took me seriously and I think that was the turning point for me, i live in a small town now so it's pretty difficult to get out n meet women, I try, So I got a number 2 weeks ago, we were texting so of course I texted 3 cat memes, who doesnt like cat memes right? After the third one, she texted back "I don't like cats, super allergic". So I tried a recovery meme of chinese chef/ cat meme. Faaaaack! I laughed at myself, then I told her I had a cat, the phone went cold. Ha ha ha, maybe I went too hard on the memes, I dunno, maybe the cat, swing and a miss, thanx for playin.

Well it's pretty obvious that if a girl can't laugh at a meme she ain't right for guys like us. You shouldn't have to change things that you think are funny just because she doesn't have the sense of humor to find something funny she is allergic too. You can't be allergic to a damn meme, sounds like you got out easy from dating a girl who has no sense of humor to me. Small towns are hard, I moved from Cali to a very small town when I was 16 and there wasn't anybody I could date without pissing off some guy who had known her all their life. Dating can really suck under the best of circumstances. My only advice is if they don't like the same thing you do don't try and change for them, or expect anybody to change for you. The only thing that comes out of those situations is somebody feeling like they can't be themselves around the other and that never ends well from my experience ;)

The one thing I've learned thru my experiences, and those of others, if you have issues at the beginning of a relationship and keep "working" on it, your entire relationship is gonna be work. Not saying you cant adapt, you have to evolve together, but if it seems more one sided time to gather your things.

I know! I can only imagine some guy clicking on this meme, reading all this and being like... That's it, I'm breaking up with her now before I end up like those two hahaha!

This is a lot of the problem, he dates girls that aren't exactly bring home to mama types. But now that she seems to really care for him and has actually improved his lif. I wish I'd payed more attention when he introduced us lol

I hear that, I got married at 19 and she was 25 with a 7 year old. I went a little girl crazy when i got divorced at 26 but still had my daughter to care for so that made me at least avoid things that might get me arrested ;)
