People getting mad over background checks, and getting rid or assault rifles to the general public

The second amendment is there to prevent and end( if need be)tyranny, not just to allow us hunt.

Im not against guns. At least not all guns. I just dont see why anyone would need a semiautomatic weapon unless under those circumstances.

Most guns that people are familiar with are semi-automatic (hand guns and hunting rifles). That means that when you pull the trigger, it fires the bullet in the chamber and another one loads from the magazine so it is ready to fire the next time you pull the trigger.

Interesting tidbit, the AR-15 was not the gun used in Orlando.
Most people define assault rifles based on cosmetic features that have nothing to do with functionality. What you would propose is a limit on the recovery time between trigger pulls on semi-automatic weapons. I'm not sure if that, as a law, is workable (after all, youre talking about intervals so short it would be difficult to consistently measure to verify compliance).

Hm, that is pretty interesting. I've heard that everywhere.
I feel like something that can shoot that fast shouldn't be given out. You can defend yourself from an attack with a pistol or something, unless they have a gun as well, which may make it harder.
However, I feel like at this point it's too late to change much. People will have these guns regardless of what we do. So even if a ban on guns occurred, a lot of people will probably find a way around it.

A pistol can shoot faster than the the "assault"rifle. Both are semi automatic. Depends on a lot of variables, but speed isn't necessarily a rifle thing...in fact I'm guessing a store bought rifle vs a Gloc loses in a quick shoot.
