That's awesome. I didn't know we had a town with that name. I grew up in Saskatchewan. I now live on the Alberta side of Lloydminster. The border runs through the town, so I am still literally a stone's throw away from my home province.

I have done a big things tour around Alberta. Biggest egg at Vegreville. The sausage at Mundare, There was the big perogy somewhere too as well as a big pumpkin. The landing pad at St. Paul for extra terrestrials is kind of a treat. I don't think it is technically a big thing, but it is the only one I know of. Anyways have fun on your trip.

My ex-husband and I drove to Winnipeg once to go to a Pink Floyd concert. It was pretty flat as I recall. We enjoyed the trip though. We went to some huge beach that was awesome.

Yes; the Alberta side is bigger though. The whole city uses the Saskatchewan Education System for K-12, and the Alberta tax laws for businesses. Other than that, it is the same as everywhere else. The novelty wears off quickly.
