The "Mexicans" you describe are a mixture of native Mexican Indians and Spanish although some of the natives ranged from the current US border into Mexico. Spain invaded the Mexican territory and the Mexicans took North American land away from the Native Indians. Mexicans were just as wrong as the Europeans.
