Your Progressive professors must be so proud of you swallowing their lies and revisionist history like a good little unthinking drone. Dictatorships and bureaucracies couldn't exist without unquestioning lemmings like you.

The "Mexicans" you describe are a mixture of native Mexican Indians and Spanish although some of the natives ranged from the current US border into Mexico. Spain invaded the Mexican territory and the Mexicans took North American land away from the Native Indians. Mexicans were just as wrong as the Europeans.
(*descendants) I don't see anything revisionist about this. Check out how the United States got California, etc. That's just history most Americans don't know about.
The first Spanish missionaries arrived in California in the 1700s, but California didn’t become a U.S. territory until 1847, as part of the treaty ending the Mexican-American War. - http://www.history.com/topics/us-states/california
THE AMERICANS TOOK OVER MEXICAN LAND IN THE 1800S AND NOW THEY WANT TO BUILD A WALL TO KEEP THE ANCESTORS OF THE LOYAL MEXICANS WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY OUT OF THEIR RIGHTFUL LAND; BUT THAT'S NONE OF MY BUSINESS
