Almost 30 years now...was in town for a weekend job. Had my car stolen in Oak Park? Oak Lawn? Don't remember which. Had to take a greyhound home to Michigan. 2 weeks later Robbins/Blue Island police call, "Hey! found your car!" By then is was worthless. Went to get it, drove it 4 miles when the engine blew, they had trashed it. Looked, there was no oil, coolant....Left it at a gas station and went back to Lansing. 1 week later police call about my abandoned car, mailed them the title.
