An honest question...i would like to know

Instead of thinking of it as "politically correct" I prefer to see it as being polite to others and a show of common courtesy in society.

I'm referring to things like 'undocumented' instead of 'illegal'. Or 'visually challenged' instead of blind...

Illegal and blind are still acceptable today,I don't think there's anything offensive attached to them.There are variations to any general description,as long as it's not a derogatory term it should be ok... If someone finds it offensive maybe it's like "tom?to/tomato-pot?toe/potato" as long as you feel you used reasonable verbiage that's what matters.We will never be able to accommodate everyone's expectations in every situation.The politically correct dilemma is being made out to be a bigger problem than it actually is (in my opinion) there's always gonna' be somebody stirring the poop only to create unwanted drama or conflict.

Agreed, i've just always wondered how many people that fall into a given group were actually 'offended' by a description that has been around for decades. I have had several deaf friends in my life, and none of them ever got upset about being referred to as deaf! Hell, they call themselves deaf!

Honestly I think the concept of political correctness was hijacked on day 2 by people desperate to play the victim card by any means necessary..

Notice, no one ever lets things go or subtly informs people that other wording may be better ....its always OUTRAGE and people are UPSET, feelings are HURT..and its always in relation to something that doesn't effect them in any way shape or form...

Sounds to me like certain people want to be victims for all the sympathy and attention that being a victim brings, but in their safe, secure little world they never get to be one, so being offended on someone elses behalf is the next best thing...
and we give in (like giving in to a child who throws a tantrum) and it makes things worse.

I believe trump AND Biden are both senile retards, but you have gone too far. you need to recognize that you yourself are racially profiling all white people as oppressors, and all black people as pressed. I have nothing against Kamala harris, but it pisses me off that she was picked because she was a black woman. maybe you could try looking at the facts. Black men are 11% of the US, and they account for MORE THAN HALF of the overall crime. Now tell me: how is that racist?
