Yea, you are right, I think it would be better if we just let people poison us, or make homemade bombs from household chemicals. The number of kills/injured is irrelevant. How many people have died in plane or automobile crashes this year so far?

Absolutely correct! If there were less prescription drugs, we would have more recreational abusers. Less alcohol, more tokers. Take a gun away from a psycho...you are still left with an american voter (oops). I don't agree much with anyone who identifies as a liberal (no matter the degree) or a conservative (no matter the degree). But I do find it extremely funny how easily identifiable both are. For example, a person claiming liberal wants people to be free thinkers...as long as their thoughts agree exactly with their own.

I say we ban pencils too. Several people have been stabbed in schools across the nation by pencils. Some blame must be placed on pencils.

I completely understand. We are propagandized in the USA to no end. It takes a little while to step out of the cow pie that is the, "educated" American to realize that the BS comes from everywhere. And then when you finally do take a step back, you realize that you have to wade through an ocean of feces to get out of the field you are planted in.

I personally believe that making guns illegal will just make them more dangerous.
If they were going to use the gun anyway, they still will, but law abiding citizens won'y be able to use them.

That is exactly the issue. So if, average Joe wants to defend himself (as entitled by the constitution)-- bear in mind, the police are NOT there to protect you; this has been upheld in court time and time again-- the honest Joe can not. Meanwhile, the assault rifles we ship to mexico can be purchased, transported over the boarder easily, and used for room clearing in poor Joe's house.
