Trump's daddy & siblings had to bail him out with over $9,000,000 around 1980...something close to $40,000,000 today. He was a spoiled punk at that time & deserves almost zero credit for any "financial success"

How many times have I heard things about anybody can succeed in America from nothing. It is usually the advantaged kids who do that, having the connections & knowledge to do so. It's just another excuse to keep the rich entitled. Sure, I could start with $10,000 and start a business empire....but about 10,000 times more difficult without applicable education & connections.

And we wonder why Foreigners (specifically from China, India, Japan, and South Korea) are kicking our butts in education and earning all the high profiled jobs that our own country has to offer.

Better motivation for them to work hard...it's not made as easy for them. I went to college with upper middle class kids almost as a dumb as a rock but who had family connections---they were "entitled" to better university, better jobs--not very merit based. I had a poor start in life, but did ok. Never able to catch up to what the others started with. But, you know, it's not the most important thing to be noticeably successful. Much easier for me to accept now.

This is especially common in the Ivy League Universities, who are (basically) trying to make their campuses more diverse while also hiding the fact they are admitting privileged students from hefty alumni donors.

Case in point: Dubya Bush. Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar, though.

An Ivy League Education is basically like buying Nikes versus regular tennis shoes. Case in point, I looked at Yale University's Psych 101 Syllabus and compared it to my Community College's Syllabus, and the material taught is 95% identical.

Yep. Had calc in an expensive top 100 by U.S News & World Report university & some from community college. I have no question the CC classes were taught better. Some of the Private university classes (like psych) were almost ridiculously easy. It's about prestige & connections--unless you're like straight A student.
