It's not just the Atomic Bombing, and that isn't really a way to defend your argument as I doubt that everybody wanted to die from a nuclear cancer in such a horrible manner. It's also the March to the Sea during the Civil War, when the South was completely destroyed (I do NOT support the Confederacy, I'm using this as an example), and many civilians lost their homes. It seems as if the civilians of a nation's war were more affected than those fighting in the war.
In my opinion, the real winner of the war is the one who provides the weapons and oil required to fuel it. Basically, war is letting the company win and innocent people die.
