Exactly! I didn't have room for that in the meme, but that's an entire extra plane. Not just overseas either, but within the U.S. too. I live near an Air Force base and we always know when POTUS is coming to town because there is a huge cargo plane with lots of security the day before.

I don't like Obama or his agenda with climate change, BUT, that helicopter, that jet, and that limo motorcade ARE NOT PRIVATE.

The president is an elected official that has transportation provided.

And as busy as anyone would be as president, you'd HAVE to use jets/helicopters to get from state to state or country to country.

Anything else would be insanely unreasonable. At this point in our technological development at least. :{

If climate change was as an important issue to the Obama Family, as they say it is, wouldn't they be doing all they can to reduce their carbon footprint, to include coordinating schedules. Wouldn't setting the example for carbon reduction be more important than the inconvenience of changing of schedules? If we are all supposed to be reducing our carbon footprint, when exactly did they plan to start?

They set the example of personal convenience over expressed views on climate change. Why should anyone else do any different?

If the environment is important, you de-conflict your schedule. Leadership, on any issue, means setting the example. The example that Obama sets is the environment is important, unless it means our schedule is upset.

The idea of a carbon tax is just a way for the haves to have more.

And climate change so far is only affected by the sun and volcanoes etc. All the man made pollution is in LOCALIZED areas, IE over large enough cities.
