It was nothing that hasn't been done by countless drivers and much worse by others. If that was cheating then you really are butt hurt. Down vote for a really ridiculous comment.

I love Chevrolets. I've been in the Automotive parts and service industry most of my life and nothing breaks down more often than a Chevy. Chevy's kept my kids fed and a roof over their head. (ASE Certified Parts Specialist and Heavy Truck Parts Specialist since 1993. :-)

NIASE (now ASE) certified since 1981 and commercial parts specialist for Advance Auto (Used to be Discount Auto). Good for you but I've found all American vehicles to be inferior to Japanese. Wouldn't take one over the other unless I liked the body style. I drag raced Chevy's until the late 90's and my brother, Fords at Orlando Speedworld (now I believe OCR) and Moroso (now PBCR). Fords broke all the time. My brother is still into racing Mustangs and a Lightning truck. I outran all but his fastest Mustang (Cobra Super Charged with aftermarket kit) with a Turbo Starion 4 banger with a T3/T4 set up. Most repairs now are electrical in nature not mechanical failures. Not in the industry anymore but other than muscle cars I will never own another "American" vehicle especially a Ford. Had very few problems with Chevys both on and off the track. I sold more Ford parts than any other. Just about a daily occurrence so you could say Ford bought a lot of stuff for me over the years.

Toyota didn't even exist in NASCAR back then LOL
