It could be timing and where the meme featured in the stream (when you add an image imgflip treats at as an original template, and it features lower).
Or it could also have been that people were thinking of Mother's Day in a serious way and didn't really want jokes about it. Or some other random reason I can't think of!
Imgflip can be unpredictable. :)
