Gonna be quite honest here, spelling is one part of t. Poor spelling just gets you grammar Nazis and Trolls.

By the way: gets*, not "get's"

See what I mean?

Good point... That is an important "part of t." (Aren't typos a b!t@h?) lol

[image deleted]One way is to create a relatively funny, pithy or relevant meme (hopefully one that promotes response and commentary... and submit it at the precise time when the minimum number of memers also happen to be posting... and the maximum number of viewers who also happen to vote are present...click your ruby slippers three times, and then utter the ancient Meme-ish incantation, "Give meme Liberty! Or give meme Death!"...Hope that helps;)

Thanks. How do you know when least amount of memers are posting. And what's the amount of likes, views, and comments needed to be on front page?

[image deleted]You need to watch the "latest" pages... if the same memes are still on the first page over a ten to twenty minute period, there might be a lull in posting...but that doesn't guarantee how many voters are around...You need to watch the comments on both the latest and leader pages to see who is active, etc....Only the Meme-Godz know what the magical numbers are, but I see it as a mysterious distillation of all three elements...I've seen front pagers with 500 views but only 10-15 likes and maybe two comments, and i've seen entirely opposite totals, but you need to start getting views, comments etc. pretty early after posting or the posts just kind of fade into the Imgflip Ber-meme-uda Triangle(no matter how good they are)

Put a lot of thought into one and submit it around 11 ish eastern time or just make some random crap that might get on the front page as well it's mostly luck really like how many people are on or if your meme gets suppressed by a different meme

I agree with this.

Popular users have an advantage because people come to check out our memes (so it's rare for our memes to get lost in obscurity like some other memes do), but what ends up making the front page basically seems like dumb luck and timing. I don't think anyone really knows for sure how to get a meme to the front page.

Just make memes that are fun for you and that you find interesting. :)

Didn't make this to cast stones at top users. Just wanted to make a joke out of something I noticed and maybe get some tips on how to get on the front page.

Nobody has any guarantees.

There are different ways that people get on the front page, and you can't predict in advance what people will like.

But the best advice I know to give you about how to do well on imgflip is to be active and make funny comments on front page memes. It's a good way for people to see your stuff. It's also pretty fun. :)

I got on the front page with like the 6th meme I made. It was because it was a motivational one that made people feel good. I made it to make myself feel good. Then I not too long ago made a bad pun meme that got to the front page. Which was a bad pun.
SO in theory, if you make non funny memes that are telling people they should be happy, and bad puns, you should get to the front page in no time.

I would for sure take Socrate's advice, he was born a top user. One thing that helps is making lots of comment memes and watching them to see what others find funny. One mistake new users make (myself included) is assuming EVERYTHING you find funny, others will too. Making lots of comment memes accomplishes 2 things. !. you learn the "craft". 2. You get seen, and as your comments get better more people will look at YOUR stuff. Just remember like Socrates said though, you never know what will work, I've had some I spent a LOT of time on do nothing, while ones I did in 2 minutes to quickly get my last submission in before bed, made the front page. So the moral of the story... participate and have fun!!!

Thanks. I've been trying to make as many meme comments as I can since I unlocked that(2 days ago).

I just made this imgflip.com/i/13qbmx and was planning on submitting it at the right time in hopes of getting on the front page. Let me know if you think this has potential.

Upvoted, and all have potential. It can be really hard to know what will click. O look through the latest stream and some that I am sure are front pagers never make it and others I scroll past do. It can be really hard to predict the mood of the group. The best plan is to just keep submitting and make a mental note of the reaction.
