Thanks for explaining that. I respect people who know what rules they live by, and live by them.

However, since you generally like upvoting things, you'll be glad to hear (I hope) that you fell into a logical fallacy when interpreting the meme's title.

"Upvote if you've done this" isn't the same as "don't upvote if you haven't done this." The title doesn't actually give instructions one way or the other to people who don't meet the stated condition: "if you've done this." You haven't done it, so you don't meet the condition, so the title isn't addressed to you anyway. Therefore, you're free to upvote or not upvote as you please, while still honoring your very strict rules (as I understand them).

Apart from logic and reason, what else can a person appeal to?

Anyway, my comment wasn't saying you should upvote his meme. I just wanted to let you know there was a similar meme to mine that you could make a similar comment on that you had thought of for this one (if you wanted to), since you missed out on the opportunity here. :)

Yeah, I think it's pretty cool! And if you google search "Boulevard of Broken Memes," you'll find a gif of one with a surprised John Travolta turning around in it, too!
