Not calling out anyone in particular. Probably a majority of people have never noticed this... because you probably up-voted the unoriginal memes. :P (Also, sometimes unoriginal jokes are great for Bad Puns, so I am not referring to those.)

I think it's got more to do with your "reputation" and probably political views. Also whether it's something easy to meme comment.

I don't think I follow... my political view plays in since I may have heard a political joke before, but what's my reputation doing? That last sentence made sense though.

Oh. It was just generalizing. Not about you in particular. Raydog, Socrates, etc have longstanding reputations so that their stuff gets a lot of attention more for perhaps the same quality of meme. And conservative political comments & memes tend to fare well better.

It's true. If you're active on the site through commenting etc, it seems to give people more of an incentive to visit your profile and see your memes, which otherwise might go relatively overlooked in the Latest stream.

Why wouldn't they? Those are usually the best and the funniest ones.

I dunno, when I see a joke for the fourth time in the same week I start getting tired of it.
But maybe your right, maybe a lot of people actually like them.

I see what you're saying about getting frustrated with certain memes. There are certain memes I don't like seeing on the front page (for example, memes about bathroom humor, or certain kinds of political memes).

But it's a community. If people vote a meme up to the front page, it generally means it's interesting to enough people that it should be there, even if I don't like it.

Yeah, I understand. I also dislike potty humor... but I guess if others like it more then it will make more people laugh.
