Does It Hurt Worse, Knowing I'm No Liberal??

LMAO! I'm an Independent; so some of my values and views don't vibe with Hardcore Left folk. But I agree more often with Dems, than I do the neocon conservatives.

I do consider myself a liberal, but I'm a true liberal. The conservative memers on this site just label me a hard lefty, but that's because they've been buying what the hardcore Republicans have been selling for the past 30 years: that liberals are liberty-hating socialists. I'm against socialism, I actually consider it a conservative formulation because it seeks to take power from one interest group and hand it to another. I strongly support open markets, free trade, and globalization, but because I've made negative memes about Trump and Cruz they label me someone who wants to hand out tax money to slackers (while conveniently ignoring my negative memes about Sanders). I'm a strong social liberal - people should be able to do and say what they want, as long as it doesn't DIRECTLY physically hurt someone, and basically I think that's what makes conservatives uncomfortable. My liberalism is about the autonomy of the individual, and I thought that made me independent. :)

Soooo....that's the difference. I don't agree with some left-supported social, family, and civil agendas. You're obviously smart; so there's no need to say more. I'm a deeply spiritual dude. So anything unnatural, confusing, or chaotic repulses me. Sorry. But Bernie Sanders is a man I HAVE to support, defend, and fight for; his integrity is unquestioned. His motives are clear and succinct. His vision and plan is well thought out. (The details are what the Cabinet is supposed to be for)

So while I won't always agree with every idea or initiative; every veto or Executive Order, I can understand and feel at peace with THIS guy's "finger on the red button."

Anybody else would undo the positive progress we've made, the messes we've been cleaning up, and the goodwill we re-established: And that's the WORST thing we could do right now, trying to dismantle GLOBAL terrorism. Yes? Agreed?

Now I have. ;)

I'd vote for Bernie if he was the Democratic nominee. I certainly don't question his integrity. The problem is that he'd get stomped on by Congress, even a Democratic one. A bit too much idealism for my personal tastes.
