Yeah, reminds me of another show (different than the one Moshii mentioned, although anything with R. Lee Ermey rules!) where they evaluated everything about two different warrior classes...weapons, armour, fighting styles, etc. They did physical tests with the weapons and armor, similar to MythBusters, then ran the numbers to see who would win.

Anyone remember that show and/or its name? It sucks getting old, can't remember shit!

tbh i'm not sure what show i actually linked. i know he did lock 'n load which was interesting but that was just info on various weapons rather than a direct comparison of anything

i do love that guy. i suspect that there's a whole lot more to him then the loud/enthusiastic, drill instructor personality that is so synonymous with his name. the episode where you see him in a helicopter using.... some big badass mounted gun, you can see in his eyes that he's seen more than he'll share

Samurai

I would assume the samurai would have the advantage. As far as I know, medieval knights weren't particularly renowned for individual prowess. Their strength was mostly in their united cavalry charge.

personally i would have to say samurai, if we are going off true warriors of each class. to be a samurai wasn't just a position in an army or a title of nobility, it was a way of life. the Way of the Sword was one of the few paths towards... i won't say enlightenment but a sense of peace, personal development and self discipline.

This is something Deadliest Warrior would've done.
