I just can't fathom the problem. Public bathrooms have closed stalls so how will anyone know if your carrying a package or a vacuum? Unless you hold the door open and invite people like guests to your pooping no one will know. And if you feel the need to announce yourself as transgendered and demanding of your rights you have bigger problems than an identity crisis.

It is beyond fathoming. The Christian right and the demagogue politicians are trying to create an issue, and have pretty much succeeded. They want a fight they can win and as far as I am concerned they should not be allowed to win it, solely on principle, not reality.

Transgendered have been using restrooms for decades with no issues.Why does it seem some people think transgendered using natural gendered restrooms only recently and now it's a problem?
All the money,time and energy spent on ridiculous things like this could be used towards much more serious issues.

That is what is hilarious about the whole thing. I am not about to challenge a person dressed as a woman and ask what her plumbing is really. Kind of like commenting to a heavy woman, "When are you expecting the baby?"

Exactly,you can't judge a book by its cover.There are many people that when judged on their appearance could be male or female... and are we now going to have a new government branch TSA (Toilet Security Activists) who screen and check for hidden packages before being allowed to enter a gender specific restroom?What about the transgendered who've had an addadicktome or a wangremoval operation,are they still required to use their birth certificate gender now that those specific gender identifying parts are no longer there?

I wouldn't say with NO issues, but with issues that can be avoided by simply going somewhere else. Gender neutral bathrooms are in almost every other place you go anyway (you know, the singer-person bathrooms with a lock?)

I was alone with a gay coworker in the men's restroom AND HE DIDN'T EVEN ATTACK ME!! Amazing.
