Knowing that LBGTQ people exist in reasonable numbers, I don't believe there's a reasonable way to separate people in public restrooms (beyond what we already have). No matter what kind of restroom setup you choose... in a *public* restroom, you always run the risk of people looking at / hitting on you (or unfortunately, assaulting you). Most people don't walk around with a visual label that says what their sexuality is. People have to learn to deal with who they are. And considering the *most* common sexual offenses are from straight men against women, our current bathroom segregation by genitalia makes sense to me. Additional points: Most public restrooms have privacy stalls. The people with the largest issue or most valid argument (Transgender, IMO) may be able to get away with choosing either facility, according to their preference. People need to quit complaining and just take their shits.
