We don't even know whether it's a catalyst. The statement in the OP is basically just a made-up arbitrary assertion that can be safely rejected out of hand, since it has no logic to back it up. It's just another example of Redditors being retards.

ISIS was an extension of Al-Quaeda. United Nations fueled much of the current conflict, even financially. The hate of America has legitimate origins and one of ISIS main goals is to expel the US from Iraq, and convert the remaining land. There is real science behind this meme by the looks.
