The terms 'radical muslim' and 'moderate muslim' are intentionally misleading to promote a specific agenda. Instead, there are jihadists and non-jihadists (e.g., those who are anti-nonmuslims/infidels and those who are not). Within jihadists, there are active and passive jihadists (e.g., those that plan, fund and carry out attacks and those that are simply in favor of the attacks without any participation). Surveys of Muslims taken throughout the middle east, europe and the united states demonstrate that between 20-25% of Muslims admit being passive jihadists (e.g., they are in favor of attacks against infidels / non-muslims). The numbers spike to over 50% when the targets of jihadi attacks are American and to over 80% when the target is israeli or jewish.
