Not necessarily. In a fire, it is very rare for a fire to start anywhere near a metal door. Also, you can only melt metal with a concentrated blast of heat(or any other liquid/gas/solid you might be using excluding acid.) so basically, you might as well be attempting to shoot the door down, because trying to burn it is going to take to long, resulting in a door that will eventually give 2nd degree burns from the heat.
