Nope, read it again pal :) Wit is subjective, what I think is funny may not be funny to you and vice versa.

Likewise, I saw Invicta103 (my favorite of this site) make a very serious meme about violence against women. People ripped him in the comments because it was a "serious meme, not funny". Really? WTF? So, really, make what you want, not what you think others want.

Um, wit isn't just about being funny, it is about being intelligent.

I'm willing to meet you half way and say we're both right:

1. mental sharpness and inventiveness; keen intelligence.

2. a natural aptitude for using words and ideas in a quick and inventive way to create humor.

I will also agree to your point by stating that there is a lot of stuff here that lacks either or both definitions of wit. I will also then go back to my comments above and repeat "make what you want" and "wit is subjective". Peace out!

At best, we might show/reflect the narratives in society, but we don't have the power to change them. People don't change their thinking based on other people's memes. That would be a silly thing to do.
