you're right. Its to protect against grass roots movements, though I cant help but feel putting the party interests before the voter base interests is wrong. That type of behavior is why they have a Bernie problem imo.

Lol...
1) there will be no indictment of Hillary because she broke no law, this has been shown over and over, but ignored by those lapping up Koch propaganda
2) Bernie is behind Hillary by 2.5 million votes and she leads the polls in the large states which are left-- so no, Bernie winning Wyoming and losing NY, CA, PA, and MD will not be a reason for them to flip
3) all poll takers admit that polls this far out from November mean pretty much nothing-- they point to how off 2008 and 2012 polls this far out were as examples.. plus, even if one accepts those polls as accurate, as you admit, Hillary still beats the GOP in those polls

I didn't say "indictment," I said "recommendation of indictment," (and I was very careful to word it that way) because I know the Justice Dept will not act on the recommendation, but that doesn't mean that a recommendation won't be very damaging to her still. My sources are definitely not Koch propaganda, I get my news from a wide range of outlets, some mainstream but mostly independent. Were you aware that the man who set up Hillary's email server has now been granted immunity? It should be pretty obvious what that means, something illegal was going on and he is about to spill the beans. If he does, you will likely see support for her plummet, even without an indictment. I wouldn't be surprised if many of her superdelegates jumped ship solely because of that. 2.5 million votes in the grand scheme of things is really not that much, especially with all these impending scandals Hillary is dealing with. Bernie started out at just 3% in the polls and is now the national frontrunner, what makes you think he won't simply continue to increase his lead for the next 3 months? And no, Hillary does not beat them all in general election polls, she actually loses to Kasich, and her Margin over Cruz is miniscule, definitely small enough to scare superdelegates into voting for Bernie.

There won't even be a recommendation of an indictment for her, as she broke no laws by having a private server and nothing on the server was classified at the time. This is not really hurting her with those who vote democrat, because they recognize it for what it is-- the endless stream of Koch & Rove & radical rightwing propaganda that has been tried for years against the Clintons, to no avail. The screeching of "Emaillzzz!!" and "Bengahazzzii!" by the radical right, in an effort to avoid actual issues (because she beats them on all of those) is just driving the middle to her-- and nominating Trump or Cruz wil drive a noticeable amount of moderate Republicans to vote for her.

Hillary does beat them all in the national polls on average, and in the polls in which she loses to Kasich, Bernie often does also. Bernie is only higher in those polls now because he has not faced 20+ years of endless national rightwing propaganda like she has-- she has survived it all and has rock solid Democratic Party support-- if the GOP thought he would be the nominee we would be seeing an endless stream of "mad scienctist evil Bernie the Socialist wants to raise your taxes" commercials. We aren't seeing that, because they know he wil not be the nominee, and they want hi to run as long as he will-- because it damages her chances in November.

With all due respect, you have no idea if she broke any laws because the investigation is still ongoing, she could easily get a recommendation for indictment, they just probably won't follow through with it. She might have rock solid support of the people within the Democratic Party leadership, but she definitely doesn't have rock solid support of the Democratic voters. Many people that are Bernie or bust will vote green party or write in Bernie's name if Hillary is the nominee. That should worry the superdelegates a lot, especially since she would be getting smeared much worse in the months leading up to the general election and her numbers could very likely drop even more. I have to disagree with your assertion that Bernie is only higher in the polls because he hasn't faced 20+ years of GOP propaganda like she has. I believe he is ahead because of the issues people care about, like the fact that she voted for the Iraq war, takes millions of dollars from special interests, and voted for unpopular trade agreements. I'm really not surprised that two of your sources are from the New York times, a publication that loves to edit positive pieces about Bernie into hit pieces, and the Washington Post who ran 16 anti-Bernie stories in 16 hours. lol Come on man get some real sources. It's not just the GOP going after Hillary either, it's plenty of progressives too.

She won't be charged because she broke no applicable laws:
1) It was not illegal for her to have a private server
2) none of the emails was classified
It's that simple. There are minor technical things which could get the person who set up her server in trouble, so he refused to talk to investigators until granted immunity because he didn't want to be charged with a nitpick tech charge. In any case, Clinton did nothing that broke the law-- it's possible her tech guy or some of the people who sent her emails could have, but when the investigators released the fact that none.of.the.emails.were.classified.at.that.time, that she was cleared.
HIllary has the support of 2.5 million more voters than Bernie so far, and it is extremely solid. there are always sore losers who will say they won't vote for the nominee because she/he isn't the one they wanted-- it happened with Obama, and he won handily. Any extremists (and, let's be honest, their are elements of Bernie's fans who are basically the leftwing version of the Tea Party) likely didn't vote for Obama (hint: the same negs you list for her apply to Obama, and Bernie also "takes money from special interests" if one uses the broad definition the radical left has been using), and they don't matter much in national elections-- the moderate middle left and moderate middle right of the bell curve from leftwing to rightwing where most votes are, and that is were Clinton will win the White House. The fact that you deny The New York Times and Washington Post because the articles don't kiss up to Bernie shows that you are likely just getting most of your info from either radical left sites or from the years of GOP propaganda.
In the end, you are confusing louder yelling on the internet with"plenty of progressives"-- from what I have seen many of those alleged "progressives" are actually kooky RonPaulites and partial-Libertarians roosting with the Bernie campaign, and much of their yelling is rooted in GOP/Koch/Rove propaganda...20 years worth. If you had bothered to read the articles at the links I posted you would realize this.

Bernie will not be the nominee, because those who are rational and in the middle know that
1) he could not win the White House, GOP ads would destroy him easily
2) he makes fairy dust promises of things he could not.ever.get.passed (hint: he would be stonewalled more in Congress than even Obama has been,
3) Clinton will get things done and move the nation back leftward, step by step
