Clever. A religious/cult-like approach is to refuse to accept any evidence and even sometimes alter evidence to your favor. This is seen in both extremely religious people and extremely atheistic people who refuse under any circumstances to consider any alternative to what they believe. The more scientific approach is to take everything cautiously but to accept it with enough proof. The flat earth "society" is one of the former, yet it tries to sway the latter, then, if any are swayed, they immediately try to make them have the cultish viewpoint instead of the scientific one so that they won't question flat earth since they have been persuaded to believe it. That is why flat earthers are so loud about their theory despite how few of them there are.
