Hey I haven't been here long, but I can tell you now, you're not going to make a whole lot of friends by shamelessly advertising the dragon kids' memes

I know, I know. I have not been here long myself, but I do know that. I just thought people would help the kid make the front page at least once. I know he bugs the sh!t out of some people, but I didn't expect so negative a response as I have gotten from some. I just always thought that dragon kid was harmless.

I upvote his stuff,... he is harmless,... but when he spams other memes for UV has turned some users off. He left comments that were relevant to the memes,.. I think his popularity would soar more. Of course,... there have been memes about his dragon memes that are funny as hell! He's not a bad user,... and has left good comments that are relevant to a meme that get UV'd.

You're a good user / commenter etc. I know you mean well,.. and good intentions never bother me brother. I have never told him to not spam memes,.. but suggested he go another way to get points. Leaving good comments that are related to the meme is the best way. Leaving good upbeat / witty / polite comments will get more recognition than anything,... and people will begin visiting his profile and upvoting his memes. It's actually good advice for all users... and works. =) I will help him and anyone as much as I can.

By himself he really is harmless and kind of funny. I think what draws the negativity is just having that door open leaving other newcomers to think its okay to spam other submissions. I know I was getting 3-4 spam comments on most of my stuff last week. Personally I just downvote those and move on. Others take it more seriously. A lot of us have taken the time to approach the issue gently. To be sure you haven't made any enemies with me and I think its cool to see newcomers get involved, but as H2O stated others may not be as supportive. Just don't let it get you down.

Thanks, Im glad there's people on here that don't take everything so seriously! I don't want to upset anyone, figure if they disagree then they could just ignore me or decline. Never expected that users would threaten to go down vote all my stuff and get others to do the same! Thanks for being cool about it.
