Beyond that I think it has a lot to do with cycles of anger/resentment/idolizing gansta & hardcore rap or screen portrayals, a cycle of father's that are deadbeat/in prison/or actively passing on anger and aggression as something to be admired. Ever hear of short man syndrome? Men of small stature grow up with a chip on their shoulder like they have something to prove, why? Most likely because they lived their whole lives feeling like men should be tall, that height reflects on the size of their manhood, encountering some women that will not date a man that is shorter than them, & having bullies assume they are easy targets. They should do a statistical study on height next. I bet the results would be significant.
