I never really share my problems with people because I don’t want to look like an attention seeker but yeah, I’ve been considering the nuclear option for a little bit. Tbh depending on what I say, it might be much worse than nothing. If I get baker acted, it’s at least 72 hours in a psychiatric facility with no contact with the outside world.

Society must really be shit if asking for help makes you an attention seeker

We’ve had several people in this very stream fake committing suicide or fake mental issues just for attention. As in we were able to prove it or they admitted it. Not only that, a lot of people think it’s funny to say they have issues but then shit on anyone who shows the “problematic symptoms” of those issues. So yeah, thats why I never mention shit. I’m not even supposed to be thinking about it, I’m in college at this point and I feel like my mental health has slowly just gotten worse.

Kinda get that lol I never share how i’m doing with people irl because they always get mad at me when im not doing good EVEN THOUGH THEY ASKED

Thats real, I’ve had my own parents tell me to never say stuff like that because it scares them, so I’m following their advice. They great when it comes to physical issues/illnesses, not great with mental issues.

What genuinely happened

Joke about poor mental health. In my state, if someone believes you are a danger to yourself or others due to poor mental health, you can get “Baker Acted.” This means I will be detained in a mental facility for up to 72 hours with no contact with anyone outside. If they determine that if I am still a threat to myself/others, then the stay becomes indefinite. I’ve had it held over my head several times.

I’m pretty sure its just a thing in general with other states. I heard Texas and Georgia have something similar.
