Curb Side Scavenger it. Drive around the neighborhoods near you on their trash nights. Grab every mini fridge ppl toss out until you get a working one. The ones that don't work, take them apart and scrap their core component metals at your closest metal scrap yard. There's usually copper coils, wiring that's pure copper if you strip the housing, probably some basic stainless, & probably some airplane grade aluminum.

Say you nab 25 mini fridges... Finally you get one that works. Clean it really good with Clorox wipes and spray, let it dry & use it. The other 24, you'll probably have close to $100 worth of scrap metal or more on hand.

Or just keep scrapping the components of the ones that don't work until you save up $100 or so for a brand new one. I had a mini fridge that worked for 10 years that I curb side Scavengered. Used to make Movie Theater $$ doing that.
