What do you mean?

do you prefer being alone and stay up in fear there are aliens or prefer having aliens and stay up in fear we are alone?

1st option sounds better to my meme. What do YOU think?

We can sleep soundly secure in the knowledge there’s nobody out there (at least close enough to contact)

Well... Not that we have the technology to reach. Doesn't mean they don't have the technology to reach us.

Based on how our species consistently merks everything I do t suppose any other species would be so kind with sharing that technology with us, for good reason.

Even if some people on earth could build the technology it would fall into the wrong hands and be used for wrong purposes so it's best to keep our species incapable until we learn how to work together rather than kill each other and everything we get our hands on.

I’ll give you a caveat though. If you believe in God, then of course God is there, and hence we are not alone.

And if we were alone, at least we would have one special person with us during that time.
