I admit I am not well versed in micro biology and as such I dont see much parallel between it and everyday life. That said, perhaps if I did have that understanding to the same level I understand physics, logic, math, and alike that it would not be unheard of that it would affect my world view.

If you understand the equations that physical interactions are represented by then it does change how you react with the world.
On a primitive level this comes down to let's put heavy stuff on wheels. Let's use a ramp instead of an elevator. Etc etc.
With biology based stuff I wouldn't be able to comprehend any kind of relation, that doesn't mean the parallels aren't there - I just can't think of them.

So... Imagine you are a guy on top of a cliff and your job is to get a massive stone from its ledge to the bottom - and then break it to tiny pieces.
You can take the time to get it down and then break it(the hourly wage approach) or let gravity speed up your process. (Paid by the task)

Even understanding economics plays a role in decisions made depending on the party in question.
If you are paid for getting it done, you are incentivized to do it fast. By the hour you just want to meet minimum expectations.

fun little fact if you were paying attention its because its the fact it has nothing to do with said job as a jet pilot. its making fun of the fact teachers teach so much nonsense not needed for the job said student really wants my friend gets it and we are both young.
