"There used to be. Months are named towards the end for what numerical order they actually are October (8th), November (9th) December (10th). The Roman Calendar began in March, not January. Meaning January & February would be the last months - not the first months.
Then we have all these Months with 31 days, stripped February down to 28... We could easily just have 13 months at 4 weeks a month, because 13 x 4 is 52 & 52 is how many weeks we have.
The entire mess up of this observation is why we don't have an extra month of summer break.
