Sharks are mostly harmless to us. They actually have a good role in the ecosystem. Dolphins and humans are the real threat

Humans are neutral. We choose to kill something or not.

If I ever encounter one, I would just try to blend in with it by pretending to be a shark, or just swim away. IDK, name other things I should do to spare/avoid a shark if I encounter one.

give him pets, he's only gonna eat you if you're bleeding

sharks do eat you when you bleed, and that must be why people are afraid of them.

I gotta make sure that I don't bleed when I encounter one.

sharks eat fish to balance the ecosystem
Dolphins torture pufferfish to get high

only one species of dolphin does so, to my knowledge.
and besides dolphins and humans are a mutualistic species, meaning dolphins help humans a LOT
meanwhile sharks do nothing to help society (except balance the population) and kill more humans per year than dolphins do.

imagine the planet without the ecosystem
NOW BALANCING THE ECOSYSTEM SEEMS LIKE ALOT HUH?

btw fyi we have a weapon that could nearly blow up our own planet
so humans are the real threat here
0 ups, 2w
if humans were wiped from the face of the earth civilization would crumble, and one of two things would happen:

another species would become the highest power and gain access to those weapons

the earth would become too overpopulated

The article that you linked to is wrong about how long sharks and trees have been around and when dinosaurs first appeared. The first shark and the first tree and the first dinosaur were created during creation week. By adding up the times mentioned in the Bible between creation and the birth of Christ, you can prove that creation week happened approximately four thousand years before Christ. Because 4000+2000=6000, the time that Christ was born is sufficiently close to two thousand years ago for it to be deduced that creation week happened approximately six thousand years ago. The first tree was created on day three. The first shark was created on day five. The first dinosaur was created on day six. The days of creation were literal days. Exodus 20:9–11 says to work for six days and not work for one day because in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day.

What the article said about how long sharks have been around for compared to how long trees have been around for and when dinosaurs first appeared is based on radiometric dating, which is based on unverifiable assumptions. When radiometric dating is applied to the Mount St Helens lava dome, which formed less than one hundred years ago, the actual age is outside of the margin of error.

The article is correct about what would happen if sharks went extinct.
