This "differemt view on reality" doesn't mean anything, everything that happens in a dark fountian can affect the light world, for example if you put a chicken in the fridge in a dark world, he won't feel so good in the light world

Still we all know that that armor isn't normal, it allows the user to fly and to turn in a ball and in a bird and a lot of other stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if it could bring a darkner in the light world too, maybe even if it's for a small amount of time

Imo the knight is probably like gerson, a dead lightner whose rests come to life in the dark world.
Even if the knight is a dead, they're still a lightner in a certain way and they still possess the determination they need
