One would have to be wealthy to do that but all the poop box scooping, litter, food etc yeah you'd have to be rich. I'll bet this is a cattery in reality and someone there let the cats out to surprise her.

It looks like a regular house but many people run a cattery from their home and each person has a certain amount that live with them. We got our from such a person.
That would explain it. I had relatives who always had a lot of cats. They had dozens of cats over the years, but the most that they ever had at one time was 15. They’d probably faint if they saw all of those cats.

The place we got ours from rescued strays and abused for adoption and disabled ones. They'd foster them then adopt them out.
That would explain it. Two of my relatives (who have both since passed away) use to take in feral cats from around their neighborhood. They had a room in their house just for the cats. But the most they ever had at one time was 14. They would’ve fainted at the sight of all of those cats.
