Suddenly imploring himself to not deport farm illegals, restaurant illegals, and the illegals working at his own resorts.... Busboy used to be the first job of every male in the USA, except for farmers, because they actually did farming that was not Nintendo. Now, restaurant owners have to sell their restaurants upon retirement because their kids don't either want to run them because it requires them to actually get off their feet and walk around sometimes while raking in the bucks.
I mean, we went from illegals taking over bussing and dishwashing to becoming the cooks, then saving up and buying the actual restaurant years later. Literally, here, in New York, all the new pizzerias and Italian restaurant and most of the old ones are owned by Albanians or Mexicans and other Hispanics. Same with other types of 'ethnic' restaurants. I just see more of those from living in Italian neighborhoods.
Italians themselves used to be the largest group of illegals in the USA. When I was a kid, if they actually started deporting illegals, this neighborhood would have become a literal ghost town. Oh, there was the occasional Schmidt and Fisher and the rare Italian parents that were actually born here, but at least 95% of the houses would have been emptied.
