Long story short, I had to factory reset because my laptop had a random storage problem

I shit you not, this laptop only has games on it, and not that many. I don’t know how tf a terabyte SSD was completely filled by just fortnite, skyrim, Halo MCC, Apex Legends, titanfall 2, and f**king Marvel Rivals. No mods are utilized in any games.

Fortnite with all of its updates is between 125-150 GB

Halo MCC is 32 GB

Apex legends and Titanfall are both around 64 GB

Skyrim of all games was surprisingly only around 16 GB.

Marvel rivals is around 70 GB

Assuming fortnite is around 150 GB (and I stopped installing updates for it years ago so I actually had about half of that on my computer), this should be about 396 GB. Where the f**k is the other 400 gigabytes coming from? OS only took about 70. I just want to try a f**king warhammer game for god sakes.

pro tip: if you have this problem, open the task manager. it should show you what's taking up the most storage in order from most data consumed to least, and give you the ability to kill that process.

Ive tried that shit and I couldn’t find anything running. My only guess is that it was the f**king xbox app that microsoft likes to install on anything thats remotely advertised for gaming. That or all of the cloud backups saved to the computer got out of hand.

Ngl, probably since I ported minecraft from an old computer I downloaded some mods on when I was like 10 so thats most likely the case. Either way, its gone now since I factory reset the thing.

Apparently I’m supposed to do that once in a while anyways to maintain the laptop so Its not all bad. Just had to reinstall a few things since nothing crazy was really on it.
