On the other hand. I don't think Sweden is talking about illegals, just those they've taken in. It's morally easier to be tough on illegals I guess, and it's seen as start-up capital for when they get back.

It is a big issue only their media is not allowed to talk about it.

Their earlier problem was that police wasn't allowed to share ethnicities of perps. That has changed when a Conservative government came to power in 2022, and then they even visited us to get pointers on tough immigration policy.
Technically none of those (everyone) they welcomed back then, are illegals. It was public policy to take in every single person. Now the no border policy has changed, so illegals are illegals again
