There was a scene like this in "Shallow Hal'. Hal (Jack Black) was given this ability to see women for their inner beauty while being blind to their outer appearance. So he sees what looks to him like a thin woman (who is actually very fat) jump off a diving board, and when she hits the water, the splash she makes is so big it looks like a depth charge went off right in the middle of the swimming pool.
